SVSU Faculty-led
Faculty-led are short-term programs that are led by SVSU faculty members.   Students travel as a group with the faculty leaders to the destination abroad. The destination and courses taught vary from year to year.  Each college proposes programs which will be led with different subjects and destinations each year.  Available programs that will take place in a given academic year will be announced by the start of the Fall semester.

How long?  1-4 weeks
When?  During the Spring and Summer terms, winter break, and spring break
Where?  Varies from year to year (Programs announced at the start of the academic year)
What can you study?  Varies from year to year  (Programs announced at the start of the academic year)

Previous destinations offered:  Australia, Cambodia, China, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, El Salvador, England, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Peru, Russia, Senegal, Uganda, Zambia

Previous subjects offered:  Business, Chemistry, Education, English, French, Geography, German, Health Science, History, Management, Marketing, Japanese, Kinesiology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Rhetoric & Professional Writing, Sociology, Spanish


Applying for a Faculty-led Program:
If you are applying for a faculty-led program, you must first find the program on the program search database.
Once you've found the page, click the "Apply Now" button and log on to the system using your SVSU e-mail address.
After you have successfully logged on to the system, you must complete all of the material submissions and questionnaires before your application will be reviewed.
Once your application is reviewed, you will receive an e-mail notification indicating your acceptance status.
Applications will be reviewed and accepted on a rolling basis.  Contact the Study Abroad Office (studyabroad@svsu.edu) for additional assitance or questions about the faculty-led program application process.
